Manchester City have announced Liam Delap has joined Hull City on a season long loan.

Statement from Manchester City reads: “Liam Delap has joined Hull City on a season long loan.

“The 20-year-old will spend the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign with Liam Rosenior’s Championship outfit.

“Last season, the striker scored three times in 22 appearances for Stoke before joining Preston North End temporarily until 2022/23’s end – where he made 15 outings for the Lancashire club.

“The England Under-19 international made his City debut in September 2020, where he scored an excellent goal in Pep Guardiola’s side’s 2-1 Carabao Cup third-round success over Bournemouth.

“Since then, he’s racked up a total of six senior appearances for the Club – including his Premier League bow against Leicester in September 2020 and a Champions League appearance away to Sporting in February 2021.

“Rosenior’s side finished 15th in the Championship last season, with the Tigers accumulating 58 points.

“Everyone at the Club wishes him the best of luck for his time at the MKM Stadium where he will continue his development.”
