According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via the Express, Manchester City Riyad Mahrez is getting close to joining Saudi club Al Ahli.

The Algerian is ‘prepared to accept’ a lucrative offer that would take him to the Saudi Pro League this summer, with negotiations underway since June.

Mahrez is said to be disappointed after not playing a single minute in the finals of the FA Cup and Champions League last season.

City, meanwhile, are still waiting for an official proposal to be submitted by Al Ahli before talks ramp up next week.
