According to talkSPORT, Belgium winger Jeremy Doku has informed Rennes that he wants to join Manchester City this summer.

Manchester City have identified Doku as a potential Riyad Mahrez replacement, who has left for Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are in talks with Rennes over a deal for Doku.

Romano tweeted: “Man City, advancing on Jeremy Doku deal as new verbal proposal close to €55/60m package is being discussed with Rennes.

“There’s competition but City hope to reach an agreement with Rennes this week — after green light on player side since beginning of August.”
