Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has considered Pep Guardiola’s side as favourites to win the Champions League this season.

City claimed the title last season for the first time in the club’s history after beating Inter Milan 1-0 in the final at Istanbul.

Real Madrid hold the highest number of Champions League trophies (14), and have won it five times in the last decade.

Ancelotti told a news conference on Tuesday: “I think City are favourites.

“They have a squad which allowed them to win it last year, which hasn’t changed much. There are always surprises, above all in the latter stages, but right now City could be considered favourites.”
