Manchester City claimed the treble last season after lifting the UEFA Champions League trophy which was the first in the club’s history.
Pep Guardiola’s side begin the race to defend the trophy won at Istanbul, as a new campaign kicks off this Tuesday.
According to the City boss, it will be much more easier to retain the Champions League title than last year’s struggle to win the competition which has eluded Man City ever since.
When asked about the chance of retaining the trophy on Monday, Pep told his Monday news conference that: “It’ll be easier. The most difficult to win is the first one. It is incredible for us but it is just one.”
Surely, Man City will go into history books alongside Real Madrid, if they manage to win the Champions League back to back.
