Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has confirmed he will be absent in Norway’s Euro qualifier against Scotland.
Haaland suffered a late injury in a friendly against Faroe Islands on Thursday although he finished the game.
According to Norway team doctor Ola Sand, Haaland has been ruled out off Sunday’s clash with Scotland.
In a statement, the Norway FA said: “The injury is not serious, but he is in so much pain and somewhat restricted function that the Scotland game unfortunately comes a little too early.”
Confirming the news on X, Haaland wrote: “Unfortunately, I am missing tomorrow’s game against Scotland. Wishing the boys all the best. Now treatment and trying to get back asap.”
