With barely a week left before the big Premier League clash between Manchester City and Liverpool, Pep Guardiola still has reasons to be bothered concerning his injury list.
Manchester City will host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium for a top of the table clash, immediately after the international break on the 25th of November.
Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Gomez will still be out for a while. John Stones’ recovery on the other hand is not a possibility before Liverpool game.
Mateo Kovacic, Ederson and Nathan Ake have slight setbacks and are not certain to feature in Liverpool game as they have been withdrawn from their national team squads.
Matheus Nunes, the newest member in the injury list has been declared ‘clinically unfit’ for the upcoming international games by Portugal, while Erling Haaland has a slight ankle concern.
So there’s a possibility that Pep could be without six outfield players and a first-choice goalkeeper for the Liverpool game. If all six outfield players mentioned above are unavailable, Guardiola would be able to select his XI from senior 14 outfield players.
