Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has expressed his delight at being the captain of the England national team, adding that it is a dream come true.
The 33-year-old was handed the captain armband by England coach Gareth Southgate ahead of their game with North Macedonia.
Speaking on the captaincy before the game, Walker told Channel 4: “I think after the qualification we had it would always be tough coming here.
“We dug in and got a point, wanted to take three but things happen in football.
“It was a fantastic moment for myself and my family.”
