Guardiola reveals what he expects to see against Liverpool

Ahead of Premier League clash between Man City and Liverpool, Pep Guardiola has admitted he is anticipating a good game from a top team.

City will host Liverpool at the Etihad on Saturday in an early kick-off meeting by 12:30pm in what has been themed a title race decisive game.

Since Guardiola’s appointment in 2016, both teams have played 14 league games with City winning five, Liverpool winning four and other five have finished as draws.

Ahead of the game, Guardiola has hailed Jurgen Klopp as a worthy rival and admits he expects a tough game.

He said: “I think we are all friends.

“We know each other quite well. Of course, the time goes forward Jurgen has been eight years at Liverpool and of course it’s not the same players since the start. He has rebuilt the team.

“Trent Alexander-Arnold can play inside and outside. But the idea is quite similar and always been our best rivals some seasons done well with injuries they have. Top club and team. Looking forward to it.£
