Following Manchester City’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool at the Etihad on Saturday, City boss Pep Guardiola has said he wants more noise from the Etihad.

Jurgen Klopp’s men held City to a 1-1 draw at the Etihad after Haaland’s first-half opener was levelled by Alexander-Arnold in the 80th minute.

Guardiola was spotted during the second-half of the game gesturing to the fans for an increased cheer at the Etihad.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, the Man City boss said: “Some more noise. It’s 12:30, maybe they were not ready. A little bit more.

“Maybe we have to play better to encourage them to make a little more. The fans are silent for 45 minutes. It’s my duty, my job, I want my fans back here. Not the away fans, they are the best, but my fans here. The Premier League doesn’t wait.”
