Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hinted on a prolonged stay at the Etihad Stadium despite his current contract with City only valid till 2025.

The Spanish boss has claimed almost every possible club trophy in his seven years as the Man City boss which is the longest stay he has had with any club.

His stay in Barcelona was for a duration of four years while he spent a total of three years with German Champions Bayern Munich.

Speaking on his contract which lasts till 2025 at the Etihad, Guardiola said: “I have energy. I’m not going to answer.

“One year and a half is a lot of time in football. I arrived here with long hair and look what happened.”

He added: “Yeah of course – I can leave tomorrow [too]. I would have loved the team that won 100 points [in the 2017-18 season] to stay eternally. At all the clubs this happens.”

From all indications, Guardiola is enjoying his time at Manchester City, and will stay back at the club.
