Man City coach Pep Guardiola has admitted he was unsure if his squad were going to complete the comeback in Tuesday’s Champions League clash against RB Leipzig.
Pep Guardiola’s side have recently been known for dramatic comebacks in the Premier League, but this recorded a rare two-goal comeback victory in the Champions League.
The Etihad side have recorded defeats in six previous occasions where we have been two goals behind.
Despite Haaland’s goal in the 54h minute which was an inspiration for a victory, Guardiola admits he was not entirely confident his team would complete the turnaround.
“I was not sure. The way we played in the first half I was not sure,” he stated.
“Not because we are City and the last Champions League winner, you can’t take it for granted, you have to earn it and do it.
“The first half was not [good] even some moments in the second half.
There are moments you have to be better. We will learn hopefully.”
