Man City attacking midfielder Phil Foden has admitted it’s a hectic task playing for a club like Man City, as an academy graduate.
The England international recognises how much of an achievement it is to have become a key figure for Guardiola’s Europe-dominating team.
Foden has now become a key part of Pep Guardiola’s squad as he claimed the player of the match award in City’s last Champions League victory over RB Leipzig, as he was involved in all three goals, scoring once and assisting twice.
He said: “We’re one of the best teams in the world so it’s not always easy coming from the Academy into a team like this.
“In every position, we’ve got quality players, so I knew it wasn’t easy, but I was just patient and worked every day. I’m thankful now I’m getting the rewards and trying to help the team as best I can.”
