Manchester City midfielder Mateo Kovacic has expressed his pleasure in the zeal, commitment and determination displayed by the Man City players to claim all three points at Kenilworth Road.
The hosts took the lead through Elijah Adebayo shortly before half-time, but Pep Guardiola’s men did a turn around in the second-half, with quick-fire goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish sealing an important win for City.
Kovacic, who lasted 83 minutes on the pitch, hailed the importance of the win and the character shown by the players to fight back.
He said: “Big three points. We showed overall great football, especially in the first half, we played very well, we found a lot of players in the pockets which is what we want.
“We had half chances. We maybe missed the final touch. We showed great character, as this team has shown Over many years now. It’s a big three points for us.
“We played overall very good, when you do your thing and insist, the goals Come. We could have scored even more, but I’m happy with the three points.”
