Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has said his squad needs to shake off the mood, following Man City’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Blues were unable to claim all three points, after conceding two late goals from the visitors after Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis put City ahead.
Pep Guardiola’s men will now fly for the FIFA Club World Cup after the draw, and Guardiola believes that the only way the team can get a favourable result is if they put the result of the game against Palace behind them.
The Blues will next face Urawa Red Diamonds in the last-four in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday 19 December at 18:00 (UK).
Guardiola told the media: “It would be better, a six or seven hour flight without the result and just three days to recover and then three days for a potential final.
“Otherwise, the semi-final, of course. But it is what it is. Now we are down and we will lift immediately and as quickly as possible and go to compete there.”
