Manchester City beat Brazilian side Fluminense 4-0 in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Manchester City are now world champions, for the first time in the club’s history.

For Pep Guardiola, this was the icing of the cake, that has completed the hard work of the past eight years.

Guardiola has said that it’ll be a new cycle after this triumph.

Speaking after the game, an emotional Pep Guardiola said: “We had the feeling we would close the chapter, we won all the titles, there’s nothing else to win.

“I had a feeling the job was done, it was over.”

“Enzo [Maresca] helped us to win the treble, Mikel [Arteta] in my staff,” an emotional Guardiola went on.

“All the players from day one. Vincent [Kompany] to Kyle [Walker] as captains, all the players helped us to achieve something incredible to be here and to play this tournament.

“Now it’s Christmas time, buy another book and start to write it again. The last eight years, it’s over.”
