Man City attacker Phil Foden has expressed his satisfaction in the mentality and determination of City players and how they came from a goal down to beat Everton 3-1 at the Goodison Park.

The hosts took the lead through Jack Harrison but Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva made sure City walked away with all three points.

Speaking after the game, Foden said: “Yeah it’s a very difficult place to come and they’re in form, Everton. They didn’t make it easy.

“But the manager says you don’t get the world champions badge for nothing We had to pick ourselves up in the second half and I thought we were tremendous.

“The way we dealt with the game and handled Ourselves under pressure at times was tremendous, so we’re delighted with the result.

“When I shot and it went in, we were back into the game and it gave us that push that we needed to go and win the game.”
