Phil Foden was the hero for Manchester City, as City came from a goal down to beat Brentford 3-1 in a Premier League clash.

For Foden, the young midfielder bagged a hat-trick to steer City to victory.

Speaking after the game, Foden claimed City deserved the win, and he also told Pep Guardiola he can play in any position.

He said: “The outcome of the game is what we deserved. Brentford caused us problems.

“I’m delighted with the first goal because it came at a good time for us just before half time.

“I’ve been getting goals and assists more recently. I’ve been playing more centrally so I think that’s why. I want to be that player and long may that continue.”

On playing central meaning more goals, he said: “I feel it is. Wherever I play in a City shirt, I’ll do a job. I can play off the left or the right or down the middle.”

On Haaland: “It’s important for him and Kev [De Bruyne] to be back. They’re probably our most important players.”

On title race: “We have to take it game by game and not get too far ahead of ourselves. Liverpool and Arsenal are pushing us.”
