At just 20 years old, Johan Bakayoko has eight goals and 13 assists this season. His outstanding performance has secured him a place in the Belgium national team, and numerous leading European clubs are keeping a close eye on his development.

Earlier in the season, Brentford displayed significant interest in Johan Bakayoko, aiming to break their transfer record to secure him. However, they were deterred by the high asking price, as PSV sought a more lucrative deal.

Sky Germany reports that Brentford made an attempt to acquire Johan Bakayoko for €40m (£34m) in January, but PSV are aiming for a transfer fee between €50m-€60m (£43m-£51m) for their standout winger.

The competition for Bakayoko’s services is expected to intensify this summer, with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City all set to enter the fray to sign the 20-year-old.

Additionally, Johan Bakayoko has akso caught the attention of clubs like Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain.

Last summer, Bakayoko stated he wouldn’t have moved to Brentford “even for €100m,” expressing his desire to gauge PSV’s potential in the Champions League that season.

PSV succeeded in advancing from a group that included Arsenal, but after Brentford’s subsequent bid for Bakayoko was unsuccessful, the Dutch team was eliminated by Dortmund in the round of 16.

Now that PSV’s European campaign has concluded, Johan Bakayoko looks poised for a departure from the club and is likely to attract numerous offers. However, PSV is not in a rush to sell since he is contracted with the club until 2026.
