Manchester City are leading the race to sign 15 year old Celtic goalkeeper Rory Mahady, according to The Scottish Sun.

The 15-year-old is one of Europe’s top goalkeeping prospects, with several clubs keen to prise him away from Celtic.

Due to his age, Mahady cannot sign a pro deal until he is 16 but reports claim the youngster is set to leave Celtic soon. The Hoops have attempted to keep hold of the goalkeeper but it is now claimed that they are resigned to losing him.

Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United are also interested in signing the talented, young goalkeeper but it is believed Manchester City are leading the race for his signature.

Mahady can sign his first professional contract when he turns 16 later this year. Celtic would like that to be with them but will be due compensation if he decides to sign his first professional contract with Manchester City.
