Leipzig star fires warning to Man City ahead of Champions League clash

RB Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg has sent a message to Pep Guardiola’s side ahead of the Champions League midweek game, following their 2-2 draw with German giants Bayern Munich.

Over the weekend, Leipzig recorded a 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. Leipzig had a two-goal lead before Harry Kane and Leroy Sane levelled the scores.

City on the other hand recorded our first defeat of the season against Wolves, during the weekend.

Forsberg was disappointed with the result but believes his team can stand up against the European Champions.

The midfielder said: “It was a tough game.

“It’s not always easy to see out a game when you’re 2-0 up at half-time. Bayern are a very talented team and they never stop. We needed to be fully focused at all times.

“However, we also showed that we are a strong team. We need to shift our focus now to the next game against Manchester City and be 100% ready for that.”
