According to Daily Star via Teamtalk, Manchester City are leading the race to sign Girona star Savio who has been hailed as the next Vinicius Jr.

Savio, who is on loan at the Spanish club from Troyes, is a player that Pep Guardiola has had his eye on for some time and now he appears set to join the Cityzens.

The Brazilian has been in fine form in LaLiga this season, scoring five goals and making five assists in 20 league appearances for Girona so far.

Both Girona and Troyes are owned by the City Football Group – meaning Manchester City can sign Savio for as little as £10million in July. That is a third of the price any of Europe’s top clubs chasing in Savio, 19, will have to pay.

Savio, under contract at Troyes until July 2027, can operate off both flanks. It makes him a potential future solution to the right-wing position at Manchester City.
